The NGL Academy is a four-year independent school located on the campus of Bellevue University. The Academy will open in August of 2017 with a 9th grade class and will add new grades each subsequent year. Operating as an independent school, NGL Academy will be powered by the Next Generation Learning curriculum developed by Opportunity Education.
The academic year consists of four quarters and two three-week intercession terms. The three-week terms take place in January and July and the July term is optional

Dates for Summer Term 2018 to be announced.
Doors open at 8:00AM. Class begins at 9:00AM. Between 8:00AM and 9:00AM students can get to work on projects or grab breakfast and get ready for the day. Doors close at 4:30PM but the last 90 minutes of the day are devoted to electives and project work and allow students to receive additional support. Students playing sports or engaged in internships can arrange alternative schedules provided they are in good standing. Because the NGL Academy is not lecture based, it is much easier to accommodate students needing special adjustments to their schedules than in a traditional school.
NGL Academy follows an A-BC-BC block schedule, in which Mondays are A-days, Tuesdays and Thursdays are B-days, and Wednesday and Friday are C-days. On A-days all classes periods meet for shorter periods while on B and C days, only half the classes meet, but they meet for longer periods. Core academics take place during periods 1 to 4 and electives take place during periods 5 and 6. Periods do not rotate. This approach allows kids/families more flexibility for outside pursuits.
NGL Academy will provide a four-times-a-day bus service between locations in North Omaha to the NGL Academy campus.
NGL Academy Omaha will open its doors on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, with an inaugural class of 9th graders. We will be accepting applications from now through August or until all places in the inaugural class are full. Additional grades will be added in future years. Tuition for 2017-18 is $14,500.
Scholarships and financial aid provided are of two types:
