NGL Academy is a four-year independent school located at 1500 Farmers Lane in Santa Rosa, CA. Having opened in September 2017 with students in grades 9-11, we are now accepting applications for all grades for Fall 2018. Part of the excitement of a newly created campus is that it allows our students to shape the growth and design, ensuring that we have a campus that fits the needs of our students. Committed to small class sizes, with expert instructors, NGL Academy provides an education that is flexible, personal, and engaging, and designed to prepare our students for success.
The academic year consists of four quarters and two three-week intersession terms. The three-week terms take place in January and July and the July term is optional

Dates for Summer Term 2019 to be announced.
Doors open at 8:00AM. Class begins at 9:00AM. Between 8:00AM and 9:00AM students can get to work on projects or grab breakfast and get ready for the day. Doors close at 4:30PM but the last 90 minutes of the day are devoted to electives and project work and allow students to receive additional support. Students playing sports or engaged in internships can arrange alternative schedules provided they are in good standing. Because the NGL Academy is not lecture based, it is much easier to accommodate students needing special adjustments to their schedules than in a traditional school.
NGL Academy follows an A-BC-BC block schedule, in which Mondays are A-days, Tuesdays and Thursdays are B-days, and Wednesday and Friday are C-days. On A-days all classes periods meet for shorter periods while on B and C days, only half the classes meet, but they meet for longer periods. Core academics take place during periods 1 to 4 and electives take place during periods 5 and 6. Periods do not rotate. This approach allows kids/families more flexibility for outside pursuits.
NGL Academy allows students who are in good standing to take time away from the academy to engage in alternative learning activities including internships and travel. This flexibility not only allows for travel absence but it also allows students who live further away from NGL Academy to arrange to attend school on a three-day a week model working from home on the other days. Students wishing to do this must receive permission from their mentors and the NGL Academy Director, and must demonstrate that they are continuing to make progress in their learning.
Tuition for 2018-19 is $14,500. Through the Ricketts Family Scholarships, NGL Academy provides financial support to students based on a comprehensive assessment of financial need, merit, and potential.
The Ricketts Family Scholarships are substantial scholarships offered to students with significant financial need and the drive and determination to pursue academic and career success.
Applications submitted after the priority application deadline will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
